Travel Itineraries
I often have to answer question from readers regarding what places to visit on a vacation, and after realizing that not eveyrone is as familiar with Greece as I am, I should put together a few sample travel itineraries to help independent travelers optimize their visit to Greece. Of course, if you sign up for a "package" trip, your itinerary would be alread determined, and most of these packages would include at least some of the destinations mentioned here.
Please remember that we are not travel agents, and we do not "offer" these trips. The mission of this webiste is to help independent travelers plan for a positive experience. This is a website for independent travelers who like to plan and travel alone afteral. It is possible to plan these trips on your own, or you can enlist the help of a professional travel agent who can book your trip once you choose your destinations. The following itineraries minimize travel time and include some of the most interesting travel destinations of Greece.

- Day 8: Antiparos (day trip by ferry and car/moped)

- Day 10: Mykonos
- Day 11: Delos (morning-cruise)
- Day 12: Mykonos
- Day 13: Athens
- Day 14: Athens - home
One Week:
One island with side trips

- Kefalonia with option to spend time in Lefkada and Ithaki on day-cruise
- Corfu with option to visit Bodrum, Albania on day-cruise
- Eastern, Central, or Western Crete
- Rhodes with option to visit Symi on day-cruise
- Kos with option to visit Bodrum, Turkey on day-cruise
- Samos with option to visit Kusadasi, Turkey, and Patmos on day-cruises
