Naxos is a beautiful island in the center of Cyclades. The chora, seen here beyond the archaic temple known as Palatia, is a mixture of cycladic cubist architecture, and Venetian buildings. The temple remains on the islet of Palatia date to the Archaic era. We do not known whom the temple was dedicated to. The most interesting feature is this Portal to the temple that still stands today to be the first landmark that approaching boats see when approaching Naxos.
