Lamiospito Tholos Tomb. Mycenaean,
Late Helladic Period, 14th C. BCE
This tholos tomb is located about
300 meters to the west of the Neolithic
ruins of Dimini, on the way to
Sesklo. It is well preserved, and
even though it was pillaged before
its exploration by G. Kontdakis
in 1884, some funerary artifacts
were found during excavations (now
at the National Archaeological
Museum of Athens.
The monument was locked and inaccessible
during my visit.
