A masterpiece of Archaic sculpture, the frieze of the Syphnian Treasury was carved around 525 BCE and it depicts scenes from the Trojan war. In this detail Aeneias and Hector are depicted. Some of the vivid colors that originaly covered the sculpture is visible on the shields.
