Kleovis and Biton

Two Archaic Kouros statues that represent Keovis and Biton. The two brothers are known through the Herodotus writtings for harnesing the chariot in the absence of oxen, and pulling their mother all the way to the temple where she was to worship. They both died peacefully in their sleep at the temple. Each statue is 6.15 m tall and made by Polymedes.
