The sculptures at the National Museum of Athens pose in an exhibit both testiment to a great civilization and to a violent history of a country that spanned enough centuries to forget its own dark moments.
The fragments of Epidaurus in room appear in splendor even in their extreme ruinous state that betrays a history of a very popular cult revolving around the basic human preocuppation of health, and a religion that touched many lives in ancient antiquity.
