Location
Mangnesia, near Volos, right after Agria town. At the eastern
end of Pelion peninsula.

to this beach. Somehow
this beach failed to
win our hearts during
our visit. Hopefully
other bathers had a better
swimming experience.

1= The sea water was not very inviting
at the time we visited. We did more sunbathing
than swimming

the water feel and appearance)
We enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead of
warm. We don' like visible floating particles of any kind or algae
settled on the beach.
Clothing
Topless sunbathing is not common

Good=paved road all the way to the beach, parking near the
beach

Notes
This is the closest beach to the town of Volos, and it seems to
be a pattern in Greece where the closest beach to a major town is
usually not very good.
Soutrali is not really a beach and it would not be appearing in
the GreekLandscapes.com guide, except that it is marked as a beach
on most maps and its proximity to Volos might entice someone to
visit it.
If you are looking for a swim spot near Volos, drive about ten
minutes southeast to the Kato Gatzea beach. Better yet, If you have
the opportunity, drive the two hours through beautiful Mt. Pelion
to either Milopotamos beach, or Papa
Nero near Ag. Ioannis.
