Sidari Beach

Site is unsuitable for RV parking. Hard to park right on the beach, but there are several beaches around the area where campers can find space

Good snorkeling site - Notes: There are several little bays with small beaches around the area
of Sidari and Perulades. Canal d' amour is the most famous one. The landscape with the soft rock erosion is very interesting and
several little bays around sidari offer small swimming spaces for
large crowds. The weather can turn sour in a hurry, so stay near the shore since
large waves can overwhelm the little bays. The "Sidari beach" did not seem very clean to us although it wears
the "blue flag". The best swimming spot around Sidari is the Sunset
beach a little further west form Sidari.
But it is a unique landscape with the soft, wind-sculpted rocks that is very attractive to explore. If it weren't for the huge crowds, and the hotels that hang right over the coves it would have been a very romantic place to spend the day swimming. In fact, I visited Sidari in the early 80's as a teenager and it was one of the most beautiful and unusual places, so I was not very happy to see how it was overdeveloped twenty years later with dozens of middle-size hotels that were built way too close to the beach.
Whatever the case, and especially if you've never experienced Sidari as an out of the way quiet hippie beach, it's worth a visit if nothing else for the unique topography and sensuous wind-sculpted landscape.

Comments I went there in 2003 and im going back next year. I found the water cold but took an underwater camera and caught quite a few diffrent fish, the main beach in the town is better. We swam through the tunnel of love which was very memerable the access to the ceach is steep so would not reccomend for people less mobile. Overall a really good beach and i would reccomend for a vist but for a whole day the main beach is sidari is better with more ammenites.

based on our subjective experience during our visit. We enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead of warm. We don' like visible floating particles of any kind or algae settled on the beach.
