We drove to Petani beach because we read in several guides that it is even better than Myrtos beach. On the map it looks like an out of the way place, so we envisioned a beach as good as Myrtos but with less people. We were disapointed to find that Petani is much smaller, and a much more crowded beach. Perhaps before all the development it was a beautiful place to swim, but today it cannot be compared with other top-notch beaches of Greece. It's a nice place to swim for sure. The beach is pleasant and the water crisp and beautiful.Visitor's Reports

Comments As I have traveled the world many times over, being a pilot, I found this beacht to be one of my top 3 places I have been able to experience. There is a wonderful taverna named Souras where one can get a great meal and really enjoy the best that nature has to offer.Beach Report by corrado

It definitely is my most favorite in the whole world. The view and the beach are spectacular and people/hospitality is second to none! Its amazing! If you ever get a chance to go there definitely make the trip it is well worth it! Sthn Gia sas! :)

Note that these are our simple (and unscientific) observations
based on our subjective experience during our visit. We enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead of warm. We don' like visible floating particles of any kind or algae settled on the beach.
