would choose it for swimming among other beaches if we were in the

could go for swimming again if we happened to be in the area
1 = Just OK. The beach was fine for swimming and sunbathing one time
0 = Disappointing. We will not return to this beach

Mylos Beach
Lefkada island, near Agios Nikitas village

- Access:
Poor = Accessible by car, poor road, plus a long walk or climb
Boat = Accessible by boat only
The walkway to the beach is too dangerous to traverse, so the best way to get there is via water taxi from Agios Nikitas. Beware that there is no peer, so the short trip from the water taxi to the beach usually involves splashing in the water first, so keep your belongings to a minimum, and waterproof what should not be getting wet.
Don'g forget to bring your own parasol and enough water because there is no other shade on the beach, and the sun can be dangerously hot in the summer.
The isolation of the beach is about to end though since a new bar/restaurant is being built which will provide safe foot access to Milos beach via a wooden staircase. - Amenities:
NONE, bring your own drinking water and food - RV / Camper Accessibility:
Site is unsuitable for RV parking. There is no way to drive down to the beach, and parking around the town of Agios Nikitas is a major headache even for passenger cars. A couple of kilometers south you can reach Kathisma beach where there is plenty of parking for campers.

Comments FANTASTIC BEACH FOR SWIMMING/SUNBATHING, SOME NATURISM BUT DEFINETELY WORTH THE WATER TAXI RIDE, GETTING OFF THE TAXI CAN BE FUN AND VERY WET. THE COLOUR OF THE SEA, THE MOST BRILLIANT BLUE COMPARED WITH OTHER PARTS OF THE ISLAND.

based on our subjective experience during our visit. We enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead of warm. We don' like visible floating particles of any kind or algae settled on the beach.
