Limnionas Beach

Beach Name

Limnionas Beach

Other spellings: Limionas

Location

Kos

Overall Rating

2 / 5 = good beach, could go for swimming again if we happened to be in the area, though it would not be our first choice.

Beach

S = sand (sandy beach)

Sea Floor

S = sand (sandy beach)
LP = Large pebbles
R = rock (large rocks on the beach or the bottom of the sea)

Water

2 / 5 = Nice sea, we had a nice swim but we did not notice anything special about the water

(These are my, and my family's own unscientific observations of the water feel and appearance during our visit)
We enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead of warm. We don' like visible floating particles of any kind or algae settled on the beach.

Access

Good = Paved road all the way to the beach, parking near the beach

Amenities

R = Restaurant (on the beach)

RV / Camper Accessibility

Room for RV Parking
Site suitable for free camping
Organized RV Camping
Campers explicitly forbidden, or the site is unsuitable for RV parking

Snorkeling

Does not look promising, I did not dive

Clothing

Topless sunbathing is not common

Notes

There are actually two beaches framing the man-made port of Limnionas. One beach is too windy while the the other one (protected) a bit too murky. Neither beach seemed very appealing. Limnionas beach is a bit out of the way and Ag. Stephanos or Paradise Beach might be a better choice if you are in this part of Kos island.
