Location
Koronisia village, Arta, Ambracian
Bay
Beach Name
Koronisia
My Rating Overall
1=beach was fine for swimming and sunbathing one
time
Beach
S=sand (sandy beach)
Koronisia has two beaches both lined with sand, and one more before
the town lined with seashells.
Sea Floor
S=sand (sandy beach)
Water
1=the sea water was not very inviting at the time
we visited. We did more sunbathing than swimming
(just my own unscientific observation of the water feel and appearance)
My family and I enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool
instead of warm. We don' like to see any visible floating particles
of any kind
or algae settled
on the beach.
Clothing
Not suitable for topless swimming
Access
Good=paved road all the way to the beach, parking near
the beach
To reach the beach beyond the town one must go through unpaved
road.
Amenities
R=restaurant (on the beach)
C=cantina (on the beach)
T=town within walking distance
RV / Camper Accessibility
O= Site suitable for free camping. Ample space
for parking on the beach vicinity.
Snorkeling
0=not worth the trouble, or very poor visibility
Notes
Koronisia water is very warm and the beach slope very gentle.
Very nice for children.
