(just my own unscientific observation of the water feel and appearance)
My family and I enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead of warm. We don' like to see any visible floating particles of any kind or algae settled on the beach.

Notes: There being noticeably more men than women on this aptly named clothing optional beach there are certainly some memorable photo opportunities to be had if you are female. So enjoy ;) By the way another reason that might bring you here is that watching the sun set from here is superb. If you are feeling daunted by all the nuddies then my advice is to take a boat trip round the island and you can check out the beach from the safety of the sea. But basically everybody seems too laid back to mind if you take your clothes off or not, take photos or dance around naked singing 'swing low sweet chariot'. (Which is quite possible after more than one cocktail from the friendly beach bar).

Comments Very laid back attitude on the beach. Large Big Banana was mostly "textile" with a sprinkling of nudists. Small Banana, next to it, was almost completely nudist but space was limited the days we went. There is another beach which can be reached by walking over the rocks at the end of Big Banana. This is also a nudist beach but there is more space. I believe the farthest end attracts gays. There is a small cantina (limited food) but the sensation of sitting in the shade drinking ice cold Retsina whilst completely naked will remain with me for ever!
