My Rating Overall
3=good beach, would choose it for swimming among
other beaches if we were in the area. If we were visiting
the area we would consider this beach a good place to swim.

(These are just my own unscientific observation of the water
feel and appearance)
My family and I enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead
of warm. We don' like visible floating particles of any kind or algae
settled on the beach.

Notes
Nice beach about 15 minutes drive east of Sami. The road to the
beach is narrow and steep.

Comments You must not go without your snorkel. I was not prepared
for the site of hundreds of fish swimming so close to the shore,
nor for the dramatic drop into a blue abyss a few metres further
out.

My family is from Kefalonia. This is one of our favorite beaches to visit by car. There are other spots but you need a boat. The water is so crystal clear you could see straight down to the ocean floor. Also be prepared for the swarms, I mean hundreds of fish that will come & eat out of your hand. Bring some bread for them. |

Great beach about 5 minutes drive east of Sami. The road to the beach is narrow and steep but has great views to compensate for this. Make sure you bring your camera!
A snorkel is a must on this beach so you can follow the fish that swim freely about even up to the shoreline (with a bit of encouragement from pieces of bread!) |
