Agia Efymia

Location

Agia Efymia, Kefalonia, Greece
This review referrs to the small beaches to the south of the Agia Efymia town. It is less frequented than "Paradise" beach found at the north end of town.

Beach Name

Agia Efymia

My Rating Overall

2=good beach, could go for swimming again if we happened to be in the area, though it would not be our first choice.

Beach

S=sand (sandy beach)

Sea Floor

S=sand (sandy beach)
R=rock (large rocks on the beach or the bottom of the sea)

Water

3= Very nice and clean sea. We would go swimming there again if we were in the area

(These are just my own unscientific observation of the water feel and appearance)
My family and I enjoy the water when it is crystal clear, and cool instead of warm. We don' like visible floating particles of any kind or algae settled on the beach.

Clothing

Topless sunbathing is not common

Access

Good=paved road all the way to the beach, parking near the beach

Amenities

R=restaurant (on the beach)
B=
bar (on the beach)
T=
town within walking distance

RV / Camper Accessibility

N= Site is unsuitable for RV parking

Snorkeling

N=does not look promising, I did not dive

Notes

This beach has the advantage that it is right off the town's main street, and thus easily reached on foot if you stay in Agia Efymia. It is a very narrow strip of sand but the water is clean and refreshing.

A f ifteen minute walk through the town would take you to Paradise beach.
